The Winter Film Awards International Film Festival (WFA) is open for submissions for its 9th year!
Film of all genres and lengths are selected from all over the world. 89 films from 32 countries were screened last year: ~50% created by women and ~53% by or about people of color. It’s a fun-filled 9 day festival culminating in a glittering awards ceremony on the final day.
Our very own rental coordinator, Hafeezah, a recent volunteer of the 2019 festival, has been selected as a submission judge for the upcoming 2020 season. While a very exciting opportunity for her, the selection process is multi-faceted and requires the approval of several judges for each film. In short, Hafeezah cannot guarantee (or even discuss) entry into the festival, but she can totally help book your gear rental for your next film!
The following submission details apply:
- Earlybird Deadline: 9/5/2019
- Regular Deadline: 10/15/2019
- Late Deadline: 11/15/2019
Selected films will be notified by January 4, 2020, and the festival will run from February 20 – 29, 2020.
