We are excited to have our hands on the Sony a7S camera – The smallest full frame camera with an interchangeable lens currently on the market.
The small profile and great low light sensitivity (15.3 stops dynamic range & ISO sensitivity up to 409,600) makes the Sony a7S great for documentary shooting. The portability combined with the ability to attach any Canon EF lens with a Metabones adapter make for a great image without the hassle of a large rig.
The Sony a7S would also be great for a 2nd camera, b-roll shooting, live events, and as a backup unit.
With an external recorder, the camera is also capable of recording 4k uncompressed 4:2:2 (4K recorder coming soon to PJ).
